If you\u2019re balancing work with school runs or nursery drop-offs, Sharjah has introduced a new option that could make daily schedules easier to manage. The emirate has activated a remote work system for female government employees who have children enrolled in public or private schools or nurseries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system is designed to support working mothers while maintaining day-to-day operations across government entities. It also aligns with the announced Year of the Family in the UAE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system does not apply automatically across all roles. Senior management in each government department in Sharjah has been given the authority to decide where remote work can be introduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each department will identify which positions can operate remotely and which require a physical presence. For example, roles that depend on in-person services or direct public interaction may remain office-based<\/strong>, while roles that can be handled digitally may be approved for remote work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In smaller teams, where not all women can work remotely at the same time, departments will organise access through a rotation system. Eligible female employees will take turns working remotely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
