If you\u2019re in Doha this week, you probably feel the city buzzing a little differently. The sold-out Doha Marathon 2026 is almost here<\/strong>, and even if you\u2019re not running, it\u2019s one of those events that\u2019s worth knowing about. Here\u2019s everything about the big race<\/strong>, from routes to the race kit pickup and what to expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday, January 15 is all about the community runs<\/strong>. From mid-afternoon onward, Blue Race, also known as Autism Run, and Kids\u2019 Fun Run will take place, bringing families, supporters, and plenty of good energy to the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday, January<\/strong> 16<\/strong> is when the main races take over the city<\/strong>. From early morning<\/strong>, runners will be out on the course for the full marathon, half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km races. Roads along the route will be lively during this window, so it\u2019s a good idea to check the map in advance whether you\u2019re running, cheering, or just trying to get around town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re one of the lucky participants, here’s a reminder that race kit collection takes place at Doha Marathon by Ooredoo Village at Sheraton Hotel Park<\/strong>. Runners need to collect their kits between January 13 and 15, from 3 PM to 9 PM. Each kit comes with the official T-shirt, a timing chip, and a reusable water bottle<\/strong>. Please note that there\u2019s no collection on race day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if you missed out on a bib, Doha Marathon 2026 is still worth your attention. The crowd energy, the early-morning pace of the city, and the shared sense of effort make it a standout moment this January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And once the medals are handed out, the city doesn\u2019t slow down. This week also marks the start of Qatar Kite Festival<\/a> at Old Doha Port<\/strong> and Qatar International Food Festival<\/a> at Stadium 974<\/strong>, giving you even more reasons to stay out and enjoy what\u2019s happening in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
