His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced a new road that will <strong>stretch over the mountain peaks and lead to the coastal city of Khorfakkan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sheikh Sultan, the upcoming project will start from the Ghazir Tunnel and rise all the way to the highest mountain peak in Khorfakkan \u2014 at <strong>1,100 metres above sea level<\/strong>. Known for its laid-back beaches and rising tourism profile, the city is steadily developing into one of the UAE\u2019s cultural and natural highlights.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the road, <strong>a <a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/new-1-6km-walkway-project-launched-in-khor-fakkan-by-sharjah-authorities\/\">new walkway project<\/a><\/strong> is also being introduced in Khorfakkan, making the town even more accessible for visitors who want to explore on foot.<\/p>\n<p>The emirate may see an increase in visitor numbers soon \u2014 in July, <a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/faya-palaeolandscape-in-sharjah-joins-unesco-world-heritage-list\/\"><strong>Faya Palaeolandscape<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>joined the UNESCO World Heritage Site list<\/strong><\/a>, shining an international spotlight on the region\u2019s deep cultural and geological significance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A brand-new scenic road is coming to Sharjah.
