Saudi Arabia is now laying the groundwork for Riyadh Expo 2030, set to run from 1 October 2030 to 31 March 2031<\/strong>. The Expo site, located in the north of the capital between KAPSARC and King Khalid International Airport, will span over six million square metres and is expected to welcome 40 million visitors in person<\/strong> and more than 1 billion virtually.<\/p>\n

Following its winning bid in November 2023 \u2014 where Riyadh secured 119 out of 173 votes, defeating Rome and Busan<\/strong> \u2014 the country is investing SAR 29.3 billion into the project.<\/p>\n

The goal is to present a forward-looking, immersive event themed \u201cThe Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Expo 2030 Riyadh masterplan is inspired by traditional Saudi oases and rawdah gardens<\/strong>, with a layout that reflects both heritage and contemporary design. Of the total area, about 2 million square metres will be dedicated specifically to the Expo, while 2.6 million square metres are allocated for supporting infrastructure and essential services.<\/p>\n

The site will be fully connected to Riyadh\u2019s metro and bus networks, offering seamless access for visitors from across the city and beyond.<\/p>\n
