Driving through the city without hitting a red light sounds like a dream, but in Sharjah, it\u2019s becoming reality. Thanks to the launch of new smart traffic signals, drivers can now pass through multiple green lights without needing to stop<\/strong> \u2014 if they stick to the optimal speed of 40 to 50 km\/h.<\/p>\n

This upgrade comes as part of the \u201cGreen Traffic\u201d initiative led by Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA). The smart system uses sensors and detectors to monitor traffic volumes in real time and automatically adjusts signal timings to match flow. It also helps reduce traffic congestion<\/strong>, especially during rush hours.<\/p>\n
