The <strong>wharf on the Deira side<\/strong> of the creek has undergone a comprehensive redevelopment, with a total investment of AED 112 million aimed at enhancing the experience for both marine operators and visitors.<\/p>\n<p>The two-kilometre stretch has seen several key improvements. Here\u2019s what\u2019s new:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Heightened retaining walls<\/strong> now stand at 8.3 metres to strengthen the quay\u2019s resilience.<\/li>\n<li><strong>200 anchors and 500 ship berths<\/strong> have been added to accommodate increased marine traffic.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A public promenade<\/strong> was introduced, offering new recreational space along the waterfront.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33577\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GrOMnWYXsAAzV3K-1-1024x512.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GrOMnWYXsAAzV3K-1-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GrOMnWYXsAAzV3K-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GrOMnWYXsAAzV3K-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GrOMnWYXsAAzV3K-1-1536x768.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GrOMnWYXsAAzV3K-1-2048x1024.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GrOMnWYXsAAzV3K-1-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To make navigation safer and operations smoother, the surface level of the quay was raised. Additionally, the <strong>total side area of the quay has expanded to 320,000 square feet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The entire upgrade required <strong>over 620,000 man-hours to complete<\/strong>. This investment not only makes the quay safer for marine navigation but also supports increased commercial and tourism-related maritime activity.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, <strong>similar redevelopment<\/strong> efforts are <strong>already underway on the Bur Dubai side of the creek<\/strong>, spanning a 2.3-kilometre area.
