In a major step towards a more sustainable future, Abu Dhabi Mobility has announced the <strong>installation of 1,000 new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across 400 locations throughout the emirate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The rollout covers <strong>Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra<\/strong>, marking the first phase of a long-term EV infrastructure plan.<\/p>\n<p>All new charging points will be unified under the Charge AD brand, with standardised pricing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>AED 0.70 per kWh for AC<\/strong> (alternating current) chargers<\/li>\n<li><strong>AED 1.20 per kWh for DC<\/strong> (direct current) fast chargers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26607\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.ceo\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The initiative supports the UAE\u2019s national strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and reflects a significant push to make electric vehicles more accessible and practical for daily life. <strong>Over 15,000 EVs were registered in the capital in the first quarter of this year<\/strong> alone \u2014 a 60% increase compared to the same period in 2024 \u2014 highlighting rapidly growing demand.<\/p>\n<p>Charging <strong>stations will be strategically located at high-traffic spots including hotels, malls, and other key public areas<\/strong>, thanks to upcoming partnerships with private and government entities.
