Expected <strong>to open in the second quarter of 2026<\/strong>, this innovative place of worship will cover 2,000 square meters and accommodate up to 499 worshippers at a time.<\/p>\n<p>The project was\u00a0<span class=\"yt-core-attributed-string yt-core-attributed-string--white-space-pre-wrap\" dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"yt-core-attributed-string--link-inherit-color\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/jtpartners.com\/projects\/dubai-creek-harbour-mosque\/\">JT+Partners<\/a>, a UAE-based architectural firm<\/strong> known for its innovative and sustainable designs.<\/span><\/span> The mosque will feature a rectangular prayer hall elevated on a sculpted base, creating an open space underneath where visitors can walk freely.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/d-9xN9gTb0U?si=81t9Nlov3rL-Lxa5\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"yt-core-attributed-string yt-core-attributed-string--white-space-pre-wrap\" dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"yt-core-attributed-string--link-inherit-color\" dir=\"auto\">It will also offer views of Dubai Creek Harbour. A ramp spiraling around the building will lead to the rooftop, which will serve as a viewing platform.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"yt-core-attributed-string yt-core-attributed-string--white-space-pre-wrap\" dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"yt-core-attributed-string--link-inherit-color\" dir=\"auto\">The construction of 3D-printed mosque in Dubai was<\/span><\/span> first announced in 2023 by Dubai\u2019s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iacad.gov.ae\/en\">IACAD<\/a>). Now, a major <strong>update confirms that three specialists will handle the printing process<\/strong>, using a mix of concrete and other raw materials. The <strong>city plans to build 55 new mosques<\/strong> at a total cost of AED 475 million, increasing capacity by 40,961 worshippers. Additionally, 54 new land plots have been set aside for future mosque construction.<\/p>\n<p>Already <strong>in 2024, 24 new mosques have been completed<\/strong>, costing AED 172 million and accommodating 13,911 worshippers. In 2024, <strong>the city\u2019s mosques reduced their carbon footprint by 5%<\/strong> thanks to sustainability initiatives.
