One of the major topics discussed at the meeting was the progress of the Etihad Rail<\/a> passenger service. This high-speed train, running at up to 350 km\/h<\/strong>, is set to bring a new level of convenience to travel across the country. Once fully operational, it could cut travel time between cities significantly \u2014 Abu Dhabi to Dubai in just 30 minutes<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Over the next 50 years, it is expected to contribute more than AED 145 billion to the UAE\u2019s economy. While the high-speed train will be the fastest option, another passenger train service will operate at a slightly lower speed of 200 km\/h. This service will connect key cities and communities<\/strong>, making train travel a viable choice for everyday commutes and regional trips.<\/p>\n

During the recent event, officials also revealed the first four passenger rail stations: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah<\/strong>.
