Imagine checking into a hotel… and then heading upstairs to walk on the Moon. Not in a VR room, but inside a giant lunar sphere rising into the UAE skyline. That’s the idea behind MOON World Resort, a mega development concept that could soon be coming to UAE as one of 10 unique locations globally.

The project will blend tourism, space inspiration, and large-scale hospitality in one destination. At the center of MOON World Resort is a gigantic sphere (271m in diameter) that looks like the Moon.

Inside the sphere, there will be a lot to experience and enjoy:

  • a five-star hotel with 4,000 rooms
  • lunar surface experience that simulates walking on the Moon
  • lunar base attraction offering an immersive, space-inspired environment for guests

The venue will also feature an event center, a wellbeing hub, restaurants, boutique retail streets, conference spaces, educational facilities, an e-sports arena, ballrooms, and business and discovery centers.

As seen in the image above, the masterplan also includes 16 sphere-style buildings (for luxury-branded residences) and 20 towers. A panoramic Sky Walk will wrap around the outer ring.

MOON World Resort is planned for 10 countries only. Other venues will be built in Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Poland, Spain, Thailand, the UAE, and the USA.
