If you’ve been meaning to try one of Dubai’s most talked-about tasting menus, you have until April 15 to do it. Until this date, Avatara is offering its 17-course vegetarian tasting menu for AED 375/person. The restaurant, located in Dubai Hills Estate, holds one MICHELIN Star and is the world’s first and only vegetarian Indian fine-dining experience.
Each course focuses on one main ingredient and presents it in different forms, textures, or temperatures. Here are some dishes you can try as a part of this limited-time offer:
Starters
- Yogurt with butter bonbon and popping sugar
- Wasabi greens with coral cookie and pickled daikon
- Butternut as a chickpea taco with black lime
- Aloe vera with tom kha gelato and pomelo salad
Mains
- Truffle with mushroom tart and black garlic aioli
- Eggplant wrapped in shiso with yuzu koshu
- Onion as a caramelised dumpling with spiced tomato water
- Jackfruit with teardrop peas, spinach, and kafir curry
- Morel with potato dauphinoise and Kashmiri chilli
Desserts
- Condensed milk with bal mithai and chocolate rosette
- “Mithai” selection inspired by traditional Indian sweets
The menu is arranged in a sequence where lighter dishes come first, followed by richer courses, and ending with desserts based on Indian sweets. If you want to elevate your experience, pairings are available. The kitchen can also adjust dishes for vegan and gluten-free diets when requested.
With the current pricing in place until April 15, the tasting menu at Avatara offers a rare chance to experience a MICHELIN-starred concept based entirely on vegetarian cuisine.
Similar limited-time tasting menus are also available in other famous and popular spots the city, including a six-course experience at Jun’s and an eight-course menu at MANAO, both offered at special prices.
