Ilario Alicante is an Italian DJ and producer born in Livorno, Italy. From an early age, a passion for music was shaped by Ilario Alicante mother, who encouraged him to listen deeply and discover sound on his own terms. As a teenager, he began experimenting with DIY setups in his bedroom before landing a residency at Pachamama Club in Pisa — the springboard that launched everything. A true clubber at heart, time spent dancing through the best venues in Germany and Ibiza gave him a unique understanding of the dancefloor that would define his career as a dj.

The breakthrough came in 2008 with the track Vacaciones En Chile, which introduced the world to a sound that was raw, hypnotic, and immediately distinctive. That track was followed by the Living Near Africa EP on Cécille Records, which found its way into the record bags of Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, and Richie Hawtin. It was also the release that made Ilario Alicante the youngest artist ever to perform at Rotterdam's iconic Time Warp festival. Joining the Cocoon family under Sven Väth cemented a place among Europe's most respected electronic acts. The genre that defines the sound sits firmly within techno and deep techno, though sets consistently blur boundaries and resist easy categorization. In 2014, the label Deep Moves was launched to nurture new talent, followed by the Virgo imprint in 2016 as a space for more experimental collaborations.
